Art Heals - Kalaimamani Urmila Sathyanarayanan

Art Heals is an initiative where
different artists present their performance as an offering to the public
during the lockdown initiated due to the spread of Coronavirus.
Samarpana for Arts and Well Being, a not for profit organisation,
started Art Heals as it truly believes in the power of art and its
healing nature. The day starts with breathing exercises in the morning
at 8:30 a.m, followed by chanting of Sloka-s at 9 p.m, a session of
music at 12:30 p.m. and a session of dance at 6 p.m. A Madhubani
painting session is also conducted on the weekends at 10 a.m. The Art
Heals series is now in its fourth week.

Through these initiatives, Samarpana has
been raising funds for daily wage workers, local folk artisans and
migrant workers who are worst hit by the pandemic. The organisation has
helped 350 families so far and pledge to continue its support to the
