DEPARTMENT: Childcare CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY: This position provides care for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age under the supervision of the Child Care Center Director. The position will help introduce and educate new and basic concepts to children by reading to, talking to, playing with, and nurturing them. The childcare provider must be able to communicate well with parents, which will include keeping daily records on the child. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: In order to foster the best environment for our youngsters the candidate chosen must have a warm and caring attitude toward working with children and their families. They must be dependable and honest; be flexible and adapt to change and must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance. The candidate chosen must be physically able to play (work) with young children, crawling on floor, lifting and moving around classroom. Requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age. Preferably have a minimum of one year work experience working with children and meet additional training requirements.
