About the Family; Our Hydrangea family is looking for a nanny to join their 11-year-old daughter to help with the afternoon/evening routine. They live in the Los Gatos Hills but often times this position would require transport of their daughter to her equestrian activities in San Jose and the Santa Cruz area. Their perfect match would be someone who is energetic, outdoorsy, compassionate, and reliable. Their daughter is high-functioning neurodiverse so having someone who understands how to move her gently through the day and share her passion for horses would be a perfect fit! There are also opportunities to add additional hours on either Saturday or Sunday. They would also appreciate some light household support including laundry, meal prep, errands, and general tidying to help the household run smoothly. Other Details: A dedicated family car will be provided for transportation. The candidate must be comfortable with driving to and from after-school activities. Some flexibility with start and end times is needed. Qualifications: Local Candidates ONLY, please! Experience with school-age children is essential, special needs experience is a plus. Must have a genuine passion for working with children and be warm, playful, and outdoorsy. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt to the family's needs and routines. Requirements: A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, professional experience Strong English communication skills Strong references from past employers Willing to pass two background checks (Trustline & Nanny Verify) Ability to make at least a 1-3+ year minimum commitment U.S. Citizen /Work Authorization Valid driver's license and clean driving record CPR Certification if applicable Currently updated vaccinations including flu, Tdap, proof of Covid 19 + Boosters
